community transit

During their first 20 years, Community Transit did a great job of transporting passengers around the Sound. Unfortunately, they didn’t do as good a job of telling people about it. Burrus Communications was first hired to create a campaign targeted to both internal and external audiences for CT’s 20th Anniversary, and later for general maintenance advertising. Media included television, radio, print and collateral.

Outcome: Ridership numbers on buses and commuter interest in van pools rose steadily over the course of the campaign. Regional awareness of Community Transit’s service areas, driver safety record and overall transit options increased dramatically as well. Radio spots garnered local, regional and national awards.
